Eph 5:11:"…have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”.
Amos 3:7 “…God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”
Why this post?
To provide evidence of the last prophecies we received.
Introduction
This is most likely my last post of this series. I’ll probably update several times.
I unpack the question of “What about all those who kept the Sabbath?”, with two arguments. The latter refers to prophecy from the end of day.
Final prophecies
If the mark is Sunday, then the question is: What about the people that don’t know? What about all those who kept Sunday even from early Christianity?
There is a reasonable answer to that, but this section is the most controversial of all. I have two arguments to offer:
There is the notion that God cannot judge you on what you don’t know. I’m very comfortable with that thought and I trust He considers your heart and alignment to His two fundamental laws of loving Him and loving man; and
The other, is that God said that He will always send His prophets, so if that is the case, did we get a prophet on the end of days? And what was the guidance?
Let’s unpack both.
1. What you don’t know
Lots of people wrote about the first argument and it’s not hard to find.
Here is what Claude had to say:
And ChatGPT:
It seems then that God, to an extent, considers what you know.
2.1 The people mostly hated the prophets
On the latter, I have come to learn that He did send another prophet. Based on my post here we know when someone is a prophet since it has to meet a lengthy list of Biblical criteria. The Bible defined it well.
Do we know of someone in recent times that experienced these visions? Someone who fell to the ground, no breath, then raised, then immovable, then speak without breath, speak in total and utter alignment with God’s Word? Speak about Jesus?
There are three verses that refer to the notion that the understanding of prophecy should be sealed until the end time:
Daniel 12:4 - "But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."
Daniel 12:9 - "And he said, "Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end."
Revelation 10:4 - "Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, 'Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.'"
If this is the case, then at some point, someone else should arise and complete the message. This seems like a wonderful idea, but if we consider history, then we know that the people always rejected the prophets. It was often years after their death that we’ve become aware of the accuracy of the message.
The Bible contains numerous references to prophets being rejected, persecuted, or even killed by the people they were sent to. This theme is prevalent throughout both the Old and New Testaments. Here are some key references:
2 Chronicles 36:16 - "But they mocked God's messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy."
Jeremiah 26:8-9 - Describes how people seized Jeremiah and threatened to kill him for his prophecies.
Matthew 23:37 - Jesus laments, "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you..."
Luke 13:34 - Similar to Matthew 23:37, Jesus speaks of Jerusalem's history of rejecting prophets.
Acts 7:52 - Stephen asks, "Was there ever a prophet your ancestors did not persecute?"
1 Kings 19:10 - Elijah complains that the Israelites have rejected God's covenant and killed His prophets.
Nehemiah 9:26 - "But they were disobedient and rebelled against you; they turned their backs on your law. They killed your prophets, who had warned them in order to turn them back to you..."
Jeremiah 2:30 - "In vain I punished your people; they did not respond to correction. Your sword has devoured your prophets like a ravenous lion."
Matthew 5:12 - Jesus tells his followers, "Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
As for what happened to the prophets, many faced persecution, imprisonment, or death:
Jeremiah was imprisoned (Jeremiah 37:15-16)
Zechariah was stoned to death (2 Chronicles 24:20-21)
Tradition holds that Isaiah was sawn in half
John the Baptist was beheaded (Matthew 14:1-12)
Jesus himself, considered by Christians as the ultimate prophet, was crucified
While there were times when prophets were respected, the overall biblical narrative suggests that true prophets often faced rejection and persecution for delivering God's word, especially when those pointed out sin.
2.2 Modern day prophet
If this was the case for centuries, why would a recent prophet be accepted? What we should look for is someone that presented the characteristics of a prophet and carried the message, but the wrath of Christians too. If we can find someone that many Christians don’t like, we’re probably hot.
The only person I am aware of is E.G. White. She is the MOST translated female writer in history.
Before you dismiss the entire SDA movement, just pause on this:
God said He will always send his prophets;
Prophets have mostly been ridiculed and often killed;
The Bible noted that Daniel’s message should be sealed until the time of the end. If this is the case, who will unseal it? There is no magic here. We need a prophet directed by the Holy Spirit to unpack it for us;
She was born in 1827, and started receiving visions when she was 17. Do you recall the importance of this date? It was the end of Daniel’s vision in 1844. So the same year Daniel’s vision ended and cleansing of the sanctuary commenced, she started receiving visions.
Others wrote about her experience when she received visions. I have read several of her writings and never have I felt uncomfortable that she’s contradicting the Word. It’s as if she adds colour to it. The type of writings that the apostles might have had access to but was lost to Rome and others over time.
PLEASE NOTE: There are falsified and edited version of her writings.
You can find her writing in lots of places. All of it is free online. It’s always dirt cheap too. Even in used book shops. Keeping the Sabbath has been labelled a Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) cultish behavior, but my research have proven otherwise. Several Reformer and Protestants agreed, but the last 150 years the SDA has been demonised by Theological institutions under Masonic and Jesuit control.
Unfortunately there are evidence that the SDA has been infiltrated and several of their most senior leaders have met with the pope. You can read more about it here.
She knew some would lie about her:
“A Long List of False Statements Expected—I expect now that a long list of false statements will be presented to the world, and that lie upon lie, misstatement upon misstatement, which Satan has originated in the minds of individuals, will by some be accepted as truth. But I leave my case in the hands of God, and those who know my life practice will not receive the lies that are spoken.” —Letter 22, 1906.
Here is her view on the word:
The Great Controversy - by Ellen G. White
Yet the fact that God has revealed His will to men through His word, has not rendered needless the continued presence and guiding of the Holy Spirit. On the contrary, the Spirit was promised by our Saviour, to open the word to His servants, to illuminate and apply its teachings. And since it was the Spirit of God that inspired the Bible, it is impossible that the teaching of the Spirit should ever be contrary to that of the word.
2.3 How did she reconcile the Sabbath?
SPORTS
Let me start with something obvious. What was her position on professional sports? Do you think God will have professional sporting in heaven?
This digital book is available for $11 and contains over 1000 pages of end time notes, biblical references and quotes from EG White’s work on specific end time prophecies.
Herewith a few quotes to clarify her view on sports:

She had no issue with sport as a recreational activity for physical exercise, but taking it too far was her concern.
Sabbath
She’s written extensively about the beast and the Sabbath being its Mark. As supporting evidence of my point above about the end times of 1844, she noted the following:
“Since 1798 the book of Daniel has been unsealed” - GC 356
1798 was the year when the papacy received its wound as I noted here and thus according to her, the commencement of the end times. So we are 230 years into it.
How did she reconcile the Sabbath with authentic Christians observing Sunday? It’s so ridiculously obvious:

A few quotes on the mark:

Not working on Sunday does not automatically constitute the mark:

The US will lead all countries:

E.G. White
An overview of her from here:
In brief, she was a woman of remarkable spiritual gifts who lived most of her life during the nineteenth century (1827-1915), yet through her writings she is still making a revolutionary impact on millions of people around the world. During her lifetime she wrote more than 5,000 periodical articles and 40 books; but today, including compilations from her 50,000 pages of manuscript, more than 100 titles are available in English. She is the most translated woman writer in the entire history of literature, and the most translated American author of either gender. Her writings cover a broad range of subjects, including religion, education, social relationships, evangelism, prophecy, publishing, nutrition, and management. Her life-changing masterpiece on successful Christian living, Steps to Christ, has been published in more than 140 languages. Seventh-day Adventists believe that Mrs. White was more than a gifted writer; they believe she was appointed by God as a special messenger to draw the world's attention to the Holy Scriptures and help prepare people for Christ's second advent. From the time she was 17 years old until she died 70 years later, God gave her approximately 2,000 visions and dreams. The visions varied in length from less than a minute to nearly four hours. The knowledge and counsel received through these revelations she wrote out to be shared with others. Thus her special writings are accepted by Seventh-day Adventists as inspired, and their exceptional quality is recognized even by casual readers. As stated in Seventh-day Adventists Believe . . . , “The writings of Ellen White are not a substitute for Scripture. They cannot be placed on the same level. The Holy Scriptures stand alone, the unique standard by which her and all other writings must be judged and to which they must be subject” (Seventh-day Adventists Believe . . . , Ministerial Association, General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, Washington D.C., 1988, p. 227). Yet, as Ellen White herself noted, “The fact that God has revealed His will to men through His Word, has not rendered needless the continued presence and guiding of the Holy Spirit. On the contrary, the Spirit was promised by our Saviour to open the Word to His servants, to illuminate and apply its teachings” (The Great Controversy, p. vii). The following is a more detailed account of the life and work of this remarkable woman who, meeting all the tests of a true prophet as set forth in the Holy Scriptures, helped found the Seventh-day Adventist church. -Ellen White: A Brief Biography
Three Angels’ Messages
Ellen G. White frequently referred to the Three Angels' Messages, which are based on Revelation 14:6-12 and are seen as a final warning and call to humanity before the second coming of Christ:
First Angel's Message (Revelation 14:6-7):
Proclaims the everlasting gospel
Calls people to fear God and give Him glory
Announces that the hour of God's judgment has come
Urges worship of the Creator
Second Angel's Message (Revelation 14:8):
Announces the fall of "Babylon the Great"
Warns against false religious systems
Third Angel's Message (Revelation 14:9-12):
Warns against worshiping the beast and its image
Cautions against receiving the mark of the beast
Calls for patient endurance of the saints who keep God's commandments and have faith in Jesus
The Fourth Angel's Message (Revelation 18:1-4):
While not part of the traditional "Three Angels' Messages," this is often considered an amplification of the second angel's message
Repeats the fall of Babylon
Calls God's people to come out of Babylon
The Ministry of Healing
This is one of her most significant works and is a comprehensive guide to holistic health from a Christian perspective. It advocates for a balanced approach to wellness, emphasizing the interconnection of physical, mental, and spiritual health while promoting natural remedies, preventive care, and service to others as key components of a healthy lifestyle aligned with Christian principles. She often advocated for Christians to move out of the cities, to obtain clean air, water and healthy food, to stay away from all strong drinks.
Similar to my Sporting argument above, have you ever considered what we will eat in heaven? I very much doubt that we’ll be slaughtering animals.
We know that the garden of Eden had only plant based food:
Genesis 1:29 (before the Fall): "Then God said, 'I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.'"
Ezekiel 47:12: "Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing."
Proverbs 15:17: "Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred."
How amazing is the parallel with Ezekiel above where John noted in Revelation 22:2: "On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations."
Meat was only introduced after the flood when God tells Noah, "Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything."
Daniel and his friends thrived on a vegetarian diet. God provided plant-based food for the Israelites in the wilderness. We know the Israelites at some point wished to go back to the flesh pots of Egypt.
Then in Numbers:
The Israelites complained about the lack of meat in their diet, expressing dissatisfaction with the manna God had been providing.
In response, God sent a great number of quail for the Israelites to eat.
However, as the people began to eat the meat, they were struck with a severe plague.
Numbers 11:33-34: "But while the meat was still between their teeth and before it could be consumed, the anger of the Lord burned against the people, and he struck them with a severe plague. Therefore the place was named Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had craved other food."
I suspect that Revelation 22:2 suggests a return to the original diet.
Spirit of prophecy
This point relates to the study of prophecy in general:
Revelation 19:10 "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
Perhaps there is another way to interpret this verse, but to my untrained eye I understand that the core intention of prophecy is to testify of Jesus.
Very few people will read this post, BUT I am telling you: Prophecy is the most remarkable and convincing apologetic argument available.
Watchmen
In biblical times, watchmen were guards positioned on city walls to warn of approaching danger. Spiritually, this concept is applied to prophets and leaders who are called to warn people of spiritual dangers. It is our responsibility to be watchmen, to be constant in vigilance and intercession, especially if one accepts the role as spiritual leader and it has several dimensions:
The importance of spiritual vigilance and warning others of spiritual dangers. We are accountable to warn of impending danger (Ex 33:6-7, Is 62:6).
The need for critical thinking and discernment in spiritual matters:
The word "prove" (δοκιμάζετε in Greek) implies testing or examining. We are to discern rather than blindly accept. 1 Thessalonians 5:21: "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good."
We should "try" or test spiritual claims against the standard of God's truth. 1 John 4:1 "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.".
The responsibility of believers to not only avoid evil but to actively expose and confront it:
Light and darkness cannot coexist. Believers are not to participate in evil deeds ("unfruitful works of darkness") but instead to expose them. The word "reprove" (ἐλέγχετε in Greek) can mean to expose, convict, or correct. Eph 5:11 "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."
The inherent conflict between light (truth) and darkness (evil), and the believer's role in this conflict:
Evil deeds naturally shy away from light (exposure) because they fear being revealed for what they are. John 3:20-21 "For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved…”

whydoneit?
I suspect this to be my last post. I might update some over time.
Why did I write the series?
For a long time I hunted to understand the truth both in both secular and religious realms and I thought to package those and perhaps make it easier for others to follow.
What now?
In this post I compiled a list of all my informants. Here is one more. Walter Veith started out as a Catholic, then turned Atheist professor, and then went on a spree to find the truth and eventually turned SDA. He’s written a few books, but produced hours and hours of video on several subjects and have presented across the globe. I highly recommend viewing those. An important series is Total Onslaught which you can find on youtube.
More recently, he presents What’s Up Prof which covers both religious and secular matters in the light of prophecy. They’ve produced over 200 episodes that easily run more than an hour each and it’s still running every Thursday.
I’ve watched them all, and several more than once. Here’s the first:
