2 Thessalonians 2:9: “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.”
Revelation 16:13-14: “And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth.”
Why this post?
This is the first of what I want to make a recurring series — a monthly Prophetic Update. The Religious series, R1 through R32, built the doctrinal scaffolding. Beasts. Timelines. Sabbath. Papacy. The judgement. The state of the dead. Those posts are not going anywhere — they’re the foundation.
But the foundation is built so that you can stand on it and look at the current month. Which is what these Updates will do. Two source types every time. Long-form video transcripts of preachers and prophecy watchmen I trust. And my own X bookmarks — receipts from the last while that just was. I’ll be honest about both.
Every month I’ll ask the same question. What moved this month — and does it line up with what scripture said would move?
This first one is heavy. I’m sorry about that. The month decided. Not me.
Something personal
In R32 I admitted that the hardest part of all of this was the foresight test. Hindsight is 20-20 — anyone can tell you, three hundred years later, that the chief priests should have known. Foresight is what we actually have to do. From inside the moment. With the children’s homework on the table and the news in the background and a vague sense that something is happening but no specific name for it.
I showed, from Biblical evidence, that most did not recognize the things that happened for what it was.
It’s never in your face.
It never screams at you to listen to it.
It comes silently, at night, like a thief, but then it’s too late.
And Paul wrote one verse later that those who do watch will not be overcome:
That post was about history. About the people who missed it the first hundred times. This one is different. This one is now. And now is the part every previous generation got wrong.
I’ll tell you up front — most of what I’m about to put in front of you, I would have shrugged off ten years ago. A presidential proclamation. A Pope visiting a mosque. A statue. UFO files. Headlines. News. You could have walked me through every one of these and I would have said, “Interesting. Sad, even. But not that.”
I no longer have that defense. Because the Bible doesn’t promise me a dramatic moment of crisis. It promises me a false peace and safety. Eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage. A Tuesday. The moment that, from inside, doesn’t look like the moment.
So, I’m putting these things in front of you not because I want you scared. I want you awake. Those are different feelings, and you can tell them apart by what they make you do.
For the last few years, I told some around me to watch out for 2 things:
a) spiritual deception that will culminate in the devil manifesting as the angel of light;
b) merging of church and state that leads to religious laws.
God does not coerce; He does not force Himself on anyone. Jesus draws people to Him. Liberty of conscience is from within. It MUST not be legislated.
Introduction — the one quote that organizes this month
There is one paragraph by Ellen White, written around 150 years ago, that has been quoted by every devout prophecy preacher this month. Not because they coordinated. Because they all looked at the news independently and arrived at the same passage. Here it is:
“When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp the hands of spiritualism, when under the influence of this threefold union our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and Republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and the end is near.”
Read it again. Slowly. There are three moves she names:
Protestantism reaches to grasp the hand of Rome.
Protestantism reaches over the abyss to clasp the hand of spiritualism.
The nation makes provision for what follows.
In the last while I have watched something move on all three. Not one of them. All three. And the one I would not have expected to be the most visible — the spiritualism one — has come dressed in the most modern, most patriotic, most American clothing imaginable. Government UAP files.
I’ll walk through each move in the order she named them. I’m going to pin each one to receipts. And then I’m going to be honest about what the receipts add up to — and what they don’t.
NB
One important caveat at the front. None of this is yet Revelation 13. The mark of the beast prophecy hinges on a specific verb — causeth — and on the buying-and-selling clause. We don’t have either of those yet. What we have is the make provision stage. The category being built. The door being held open. Anyone telling you we are already in Revelation 13 is overshooting, and every time prophecy watchmen overshoot, the world stops listening to us at exactly the moment we most need to be heard. So I’m going to be careful with my words. I’d rather be the boring one who got it right than the loud one who cried wolf.
Let’s begin.
1. The hand reaching toward spiritualism — alien disclosure
On the same week that the President of the United States signed a proclamation calling all Americans to observe Shabbat, his administration also released what is being called the largest declassification of UAP — unidentified anomalous phenomena, what we used to call UFOs — in US history. 170-odd files. 28 videos. 14 images. 120 PDF documents. And this is only the first batch. 22 May they dropped batch two.
You can track them here: Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters | U.S. Department of War
The videos are not blurry-camcorder-flying-saucer stuff. They are infrared captures from US military hardware showing spherical objects with no visible propulsion, no exhaust signature, no flight control surfaces, performing right-angle turns at 500 knots near US bases. Former Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet, who held the highest security clearances, said it plainly: “I’m 100% certain they’re not” from this earth.
(Yes, those do look like AI generated material, but let’s see where this leads to.)
That’s the headline. Here’s the part I want you to pay attention to.
Vice President JD Vance, asked about all this on the Benny Johnson podcast, said the following:
“I don’t think they’re aliens. I think they’re demons.”
Sitting Vice President. Live microphone. Demons. On the record.
That is a sentence that should make every Bible reader sit up.
I want you to hold that against a quote from Roger Morneau, a former occultist who came to Christ and warned the church for decades about what was coming. Long before the UAP disclosure, before the congressional hearings, before any of this, he wrote that at the end of time spirits — demon spirits — would declare themselves to be inhabitants of far distant planets in the galaxies, who are coming to warn the inhabitants of planet earth of the impending destruction of the planet unless something seriously proper is done to avoid it.
He also said those spirits would “show themselves willing to give valuable guidance that will not only help people avoid the destruction of the planet but would cause it to enter into a higher state of existence.”
Read that one twice. Because that is what is already being said in the language of “non-human intelligence” and “the ones who have been watching us for millennia” and “we are here to help.”
And then there’s Joe Jordan, a Christian who works inside one of the arms of NASA. He has spent decades cataloguing what experiencers — the people who report being taken aboard these craft — actually say. Two patterns keep coming up. The entity attacks Christianity. And the entity brings a “deceased” loved one as proof of its goodwill.
You can read more on the doctrine of the state of the dead over here which most of modern Christianity has thrown out, in favour of the much more comforting story that grandma is looking down from heaven with the angels. The single Catholic-and-Protestant lie that has done more damage than almost any other. Because the moment you believe the dead are conscious, you have no defence whatsoever against the visitor who arrives wearing your dead mother’s face.
In many interviews he often repeats this:
Ellen White saw this exact thing a hundred and forty years before there was a UAP hearing. In The Great Controversy, in the chapter “Can the Dead Speak to Us?”, she writes about “familiar spirits, as these visitants from other worlds were called.”
Visitants from other worlds. Her phrase. 1880s. She was describing the seances of her own day, when mediums called the spirits “the visitants from other worlds.” The marketing changed. The entities did not.
Also interesting to note that it was back in 1800s when the Fox sisters started this:
So here is the receipt-pile for this section. The government is releasing the files. The Vice President is saying out loud that they are demons. The congressional caucus pushing disclosure is overtly Christian — Anna Paulina Luna says “I share a Christian perspective on many things,” Tim Burchett the same. They are not denying the phenomenon. They are saying the phenomenon is real and they don’t know what it is. The military people who carried the secrets — General Neil McCasslin, allegedly the gatekeeper for UAP retrievals at Wright-Patterson — are dying or vanishing under strange circumstances.
Something is being prepared. And the doctrine of the state of the dead is now load-bearing — not as theology trivia, but as the only Bible-grade defence against what is going to walk through the door next.
That is the first hand. The hand reaching across the abyss to clasp the hand of spiritualism.
And we know the devil is the father of all lies and deception. The biggest in human history is about to manifest in our lifetime.
2. The hand reaching toward Rome — Protestantism rejoining the papacy
The second hand is more visible, and the receipts here are heavier.
On 18 May 2026, Pope Leo XIV held a private meeting at the Vatican with His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia. The agenda for the meeting, openly published, included two items I want you to hold onto.
The establishment of a common date for Easter across all Christian churches worldwide.
The convening of a Third Vatican Council.
Here is the post.
And a longer breakdown from a separate watcher.
I want you to sit with the second one. A Third Vatican Council. The first one defined papal infallibility. The second one rewrote the Catholic Church’s posture toward Protestantism — opening the door to the ecumenical movement we have lived in for sixty years. A third would, by the same internal logic, close the gap that the second one only began to close.
While that is happening in Rome, the Pope himself has been on the move.
On 14 April 2026, Pope Leo XIV signed the Golden Book inside the Grand Mosque of Algiers — the third-largest mosque in the world. He walked through the building without his shoes, as the Muslim tradition requires. Both he and the Imam were wearing white robes. After the visit, an “interreligious dialogue” was held, in which the Pope highlighted “the importance of coexistence between the two religions.”
Two men, in robes, both denying the atonement of Jesus Christ — one through purgatory, one through the doctrine that He has no Son — exchanging the language of unity in a place built to worship a god who, by the Pope’s own scriptures, is not the God of Abraham.
Daniel saw the system. “He shall divide the land for gain.” The lines being erased in Algeria — drawn on a map that runs from the Roman Empire’s old Mediterranean basin straight through to today — are not theological accidents.
And the encyclical. The Vatican announced that Pope Leo XIV’s first encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas — on the safeguarding of the human person in the age of artificial intelligence — to be released on 25 May 2026.
Encyclicals matter. Papal encyclicals are the documents through which Rome reveals her agenda for the world. Politicians read them. Heads of state respond to them. Whatever Magnifica Humanitas says about AI, you can expect the language of it to start appearing in legislation around the world. That is how the system has always worked.
In my religious post 18 I didn’t know it at the time, but specifically pointed out the issue between the papacy and the Orthodox church:
Now zoom in on America.
The Catholic conversion numbers are running on a curve that should be impossible to ignore. Norway: 95,655 Catholics in 2015. 168,220 in 2025. A 76% increase in one decade. France: adult baptisms tripled. Scandinavia: a town in 2025 celebrated its first priestly ordination in 500 years. The Archdiocese of Sydney is preparing for record-breaking catechumen numbers. And in the US, Gallup reports that 42% of men aged 18 to 29 now call religion “very important” — surpassing women in that age bracket for the first time in over two decades.
Some of that is the Spirit. Real, hungry, young men reaching for something solid. I do not want to mock any of it. But notice which church is catching them. Notice the conversions are to Rome.
And inside the US government the rhetoric has shifted in a way that, even five years ago, would have been unthinkable.
The Secretary of State, on the National Mall on 17 May, said this out loud.
“From our country’s beginning, for as long as America has embodied freedom and exceptionalism, the soul of our nation has been rooted in the Christian faith.“ The same Marco Rubio, days earlier at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, was being praised by Catholic commentators for what one of them called “easily the best Catholic political speech I’ve heard.”
The Speaker of the House publicly attacked the doctrine of separation of church and state — a phrase, he correctly noted, that does not appear in the Constitution. What he did not say is that James Madison himself wrote that “the number, the industry and the morality of the priesthood, and the devotion of the people, have been manifestly increased by the total separation of the church from the state.” The founder Speaker Johnson named is the one whose words he just inverted.
And the King of the United Kingdom — the man whose crown, by Catholic doctrine, is on loan from the papacy, the man who wears the Maltese cross on his ceremonial vestments — stood in the United States Congress and preached this.
“And Mr. Speaker, for many here — and for myself — the Christian faith is a firm anchor and daily inspiration that guides us not only personally but…”
I keep coming back to that one. The British monarch. Inside the legislative chamber of the country that fought a war specifically to escape the union of church and crown. Preaching. To applause. Across the aisle.
The spat
One more move worth naming, and it’s the most elegant of the lot. The Pope and the President have spent the last few weeks in a public spat. Pope Leo XIV criticised the war on Iran. Trump fired back — called him “weak on crime and terrible for foreign policy,” said he was “not a fan,” and in the middle of it all posted AI-generated images of himself as Christ the healer. The Pope answered calmly that his role “is not political” and that he would “continue to speak out loudly against war.” Then Trump sent Marco Rubio to Rome to smooth things over.
Watch what just happened. The president of the most powerful Christian-leaning nation on earth has publicly conceded — by the fact of dispatching his Secretary of State to make peace — that the Pope occupies a moral position above his own. The Pope is now framed as the principled voice of conscience that one disagrees with at one’s reputational cost. He does not have to claim to be the world’s moral authority. The President of the United States just handed him the role by quarrelling with him on the way to apologizing.
The medal
And then, lurking on the calendar, the date that no one is yet talking about loudly enough. 3 July 2026. One day before the 250th anniversary of American independence. Pope Leo XIV will receive the Liberty Medal from the National Constitution Center, in a public ceremony on Independence Mall in Philadelphia. He will deliver his acceptance speech via live link from the Vatican to the gathered American crowd.
Leo XIV took his papal name from Leo XIII. The same Leo XIII who, in his encyclical Libertas, wrote that “the equal toleration of all religions is the same as atheism.”
The pope, named after the pope who rejected equal religious liberty, receiving the Liberty Medal, on Independence Mall, on the eve of the 250th. You could not write this in a novel. Editors would tell you it was too on-the-nose.
That is the second hand. The hand stretching across the gulf to grasp the hand of Rome.
3. The hand making provision — Rededicate 250 and the Sabbath the nation never named before
This is where it lands.
On 4 May 2026, President Donald Trump signed the Jewish American Heritage Month Proclamation. Every president since George W. Bush has signed one. This year’s, however, included two paragraphs that no previous version contained.
The first.
“In special honor of 250 glorious years of American independence, and on the weekend of Rededicate 250, a national jubilee of prayer, praise, and thanksgiving, Jewish Americans are encouraged to observe a national Sabbath from sundown May 15 to nightfall May 16. Friends, families, and communities of all backgrounds may come together in gratitude for our great nation.”
The dates are precise. Sundown May 15 to nightfall May 16. That is not Sunday. That is the seventh-day Sabbath. The Sabbath of Genesis 2. The Sabbath of the fourth commandment. The Sabbath Jesus kept. By name. From the White House. In the federal record. Forever.
But this is not the paragraph the watchmen are pointing at. The next one is.
“I further call on all Americans to celebrate their faith and freedom throughout this year, during this month, and especially on Shabbat to celebrate our 250th year.”
The word is all.
All Americans. Not just Jewish Americans. All Americans. On Shabbat.
Not George Washington. Not Lincoln. Not Reagan. Not Bush. Not Obama. Never in the history of the United States has a sitting president officially called every citizen of the country to observe the seventh-day Sabbath. Until 4 May 2026.
Most will think that it doesn’t matter, or more specifically, the actual day doesn’t matter either… let’s wait and see. I’ve been unable to disprove prophecy.
Now — and please read this part with me carefully, because if I overshoot here, I have failed you — this is not the mark of the beast. The verb in Revelation 13 is causeth. The clause is “no man might buy or sell.” This is enforcement. Coercion. The proclamation, by contrast, uses “encouraged” and “may.” There is no penalty, no fine, no restriction on commerce. We are not yet at Revelation 13. If I tell you otherwise I am lying to you, and Isaiah 8:20 demands better of me than that.
But return to Sister White. The word she uses for the precursor stage — the stage just before — is exactly the word for what just happened.
Make provision.
The federal government has now formally exercised, for the first time in its history, the precedent of calling the entire nation to observe a religious day. The category has been opened. The letterhead has been used. The precedent is set. Whoever sits in that office next — whether for the remainder of this administration, or the one that follows — can use the exact same tool with the exact same authority, on the exact same letterhead, to point to a different day. And by the time they do, the people who would have objected to the principle will have already accepted it the first time it was used in a way they liked.
We also read that the Heritage foundation along with Christian Nationalism is pushing Sunday.
That is what make provision looks like in practice.
And then there is the gathering itself. Rededicate 250, on the National Mall, 17 May 2026. The White House posted this in the days before.
“A powerful day of prayer, praise, and patriotism… rededicate ourselves to ONE NATION UNDER GOD.“
This was not a fringe rally. The Vice President sent a video message.
The Speaker of the House defended it the next day from criticism on the left.
The Secretary of State preached from the stage.
And then the President called in personally — to read scripture aloud over the loudspeakers to the crowd. The passage he chose was 2 Chronicles 7:11-22. The same passage Solomon prayed at the dedication of the temple. The passage that includes the verse “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray… then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
I remember Angus Buchan at a might men conference preaching on that same line.
The president of the United States. Reading 2 Chronicles 7. To a crowd of thousands on the National Mall. As a dedication. Of a nation. To the God of that nation.
Set that next to the Passover message he had given six weeks earlier.
“Over 3,000 years ago, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob delivered the ancient Israelites out of slavery…“
And here I wrote about the Abrahamic Accord.
I am not asking whether the President personally believes any of this. I genuinely don’t know. The question is not what he believes. The question is what category his office is now formally occupying.
And the category is the one Ellen White named 150 years ago.
Now I want to push you into the most uncomfortable receipt of all.
At a separate event, Trump’s spiritual adviser Paula White prayed over him in front of a Christian audience. The text of her prayer — and I am quoting — included the following.
“Mr. President, no one has paid the price like you have paid the price. It almost cost you your life. You were betrayed and arrested and falsely accused. It’s a familiar pattern that our Lord and Saviour showed us. But it didn’t end there for Him and it didn’t end there for you. God always had a plan. On the third day, He rose, He defeated evil, He conquered death, hell, and the grave. And because He rose, we all know that we can rise. And sir, because of His resurrection, you rose up. Because He was victorious, you were victorious.”
I am going to leave that paragraph alone. I do not need to interpret it. Tell me what you hear.
And the statue. A 22-foot golden statue of Donald Trump, fist raised, was unveiled at one of his golf courses. The dedication was led by Pastor Mark Burns, “Pastors for Trump,” who has called the President “divinely appointed” and the statue “a reminder that God is protecting Trump’s life.” Apparently, the donors were lukewarm on the project until they were told the figure would be plated in gold from head to base — at which point the funding closed.
Gold from head to base. The whole thing. The tie included.
Open your Bible to Daniel chapter 3. “Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits. He set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.” Threescore. Sixty. Six cubits wide. The numbers were not subtle then either.
I am not saying the statue is the mark of the beast. I am saying the symbolism is no longer being hidden. The dedication is on the record. The pastors are on the record. The President posting AI-generated images of himself as Christ the healer, with light flowing from his hands onto the sick, while translucent figures descend from the heavens — and then, after the criticism, posting an AI image of Jesus Christ embracing him as the apology — that is on the record. I am not making any of this up. The receipts are public.
Daniel 3 has one question in it. Will you bow down? The Babylonians did not require you to think the statue was God. They required you to bow to the system the statue represented. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego understood the test exactly. “But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”
The question for 2026 is the same question. The clothing is different. The fire is different. The question is the same.
And one last receipt before I let this section go. Douglas Wilson — the pastor of Pete Hegseth, the man currently sitting at the desk of what the administration has renamed the Department of War, the man who hosts on his podcast many of the architects of the current Christian-nationalism push — let something slip in a recent talk. He said, when speaking about how a “Protestant republic” should deal with religious minorities, that he had been discussing the question recently “in passing,” and that there was “legislation coming this fall.”
If you don’t think this is real, here is what Douglas Wilson thinks about Christian minorities, specifically the Seventh Day Adventists:
Coming this fall. The man who said it was not speculating. He was at the Pentagon last month. He has the ear of the Defense Secretary. When men like that say fall, they mean fall. Maybe it gets postponed. Time will tell.
That is the third hand. The hand making provision.
What I’m watching for next
Three things I think might happen next - and I am NO PROPHET:
A major Christian platform asking the President for a parallel Lord’s-Day or Sunday proclamation, under the Rededicate 250 framing. The wording will be unity, gratitude, and the 250th. It will not be from a fringe voice.
State governors issuing parallel state-level proclamations. Once the federal category exists, the states fill in. That is how this kind of thing has always scaled.
Eventually, federal legislation with a name like “National Day of Rest,” “American Sabbath Recognition Act,” or “Religious Heritage Restoration Act.” The legal scaffolding always follows the cultural scaffolding.
And one date on the calendar that everyone reading this should circle in red ink. 3 July 2026. The Pope receives the Liberty Medal on Independence Mall in Philadelphia, the day before the 250th anniversary. Whatever else happens in the second half of this year, that ceremony is the visible high-water mark.
And it will seem so noble, but go and revisit the reformation and its martyrs, the official quotes from the Roman Catholic Church I kept repeating.
Whydoneit
Because the threefold union does not arrive in one move. It arrives in three small moves which, from inside the moment, look like good things.
Disclosure looks like transparency. The end of a seventy-year coverup. The government finally being honest with you. Who could be against that?
But in reality, it’s a century long deception.
Pope-meets-Imam looks like peace and unity. A Third Vatican Council looks like progress. A common Easter date looks like long-overdue housekeeping. Who could be against that?
A national Sabbath proclamation looks like dignity. A 250th rededication looks like patriotism. A Cabinet that prays in public looks like — finally — a country that takes its founding seriously. Who could be against that?
That is the point. Babel was not cackling-villain language. “Let us build us a city and a tower… let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad.” Civic. Sensible. Patriotic.
God moved in fast and ripped it all apart.
You must ask yourself: “Why?”.
Sodom thought it was fine. Babel thought it was building. The Jerusalem priesthood thought it was righteous. Every generation that hit the line for divine intervention thought, right up until the moment, that things were basically going well.
That is what foresight looks like from inside. It looks like ordinary Tuesday. With good words being used to walk people across a line that, if it were named honestly, they would refuse to cross. Make provision is not enforcement. Make provision is the door being held open. The hand on the door is wearing a clean suit, smiling, telling you the room beyond looks just like the room you’re in.
And the test was never what the government does. The test is what you do when the government does it.
Half the country is going to fail the next test. They are going to keep the Sabbath because their political tribe told them to keep it — or refuse to keep it because the other political tribe is keeping it. That is not commandment-keeping. That is partisanship in religious clothing. The Sabbath was given before there was an Israel, before there was a Jew, before there was a fallen human being on the planet. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Because the Lord said so. Not because the President said so. Not because the President’s enemies said so. Because the Lord said so. That is the only ground that holds when the pressure comes.
Test everything by the law and the testimony. Read the proclamation yourself — the actual federal document, not the headline. Read Revelation 13 yourself. Read the 1888 paragraph yourself, and decide whether the three verbs map to the three things that just happened. I might be wrong about a lot of this. I almost certainly am. But the list of pending prophecies is short.
Don’t sleep through the bowing.
Daniel 3:18: “But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”
